In 1985, Perthmore Developments started building throughout the Perth area. Since then, founder Mr. DeCaria Sr. has constructed over 250 homes, resides in the heart of the Perthmore community and is an active member of the Perthmore Home owners Association, which was created by the residents. A few years ago, son Frank DeCaria created Rideau Lake Homes Ltd. to respond to the growing requirements of active adults in this beautiful retirement community. The DeCaria family continues to build about 25 homes per year on existing family lands, as well as a "Perthmore Manor" fully caters to active adults. New Homes and Condos Magazine, May 2005.

    In 1977 Tony DeCaria, a young developer at the time, had a vision of an adult community in the heart of Perth. Perthmore Development was formed in 1982 with Tony DeCaria receiving draft plan approval based on a 600 family community of attached and detached one and two-storey homes. It was in 1987 when Tony’s family started marketing and construction of the Perthmore lands. Soon grew an established community of proven quality home builders and developers. Perthview Homes, Perthmore Homes, Perthmore Glen Homes and Perthmore Manor are a part of Tony DeCaria’s families past and present. The future brings Perthmore Village Homes. The dedication by this family business, is now held as son Frank DeCaria, President of the Perthmore group of companies heads towards the future. Condominiums and single storey living are only a part of what is yet to come. Tony DeCaria has made Perth his home and resides in the heart of Perthmore. As an active member of the Perthmore Home Owners Association, created by the residents of the community, Tony DeCaria has listened to the needs of the community with satisfaction by all.
